A New Chapter for Leith’s Nobles Bar
Leith’s historic Nobles Bar is about to begin an exciting new era. Bellfield Brewery have signed a new lease for the much-loved Constitution Street landmark, bringing fresh energy, great beer and a modern taproom twist to the iconic venue.
The previous tenants closed their doors at the end of September and the space will remain shut for a short period while the bar and cellar areas undergo refurbishment and a new team is recruited and trained. When the doors reopen, Nobles will combine its classic Victorian character with a new, vibrant offering tailored for both locals and visitors.
What’s Coming to Nobles Under Bellfield Brewery
Here’s a taste of what beer and food lovers can expect when the bar reopens:
- An expanded beer line-up – 14 draught keg lines pouring Bellfield’s award-winning craft beers alongside guest brews from top breweries.
- Traditional real ale – Real ale fans can look forward to dedicated cask lines.
- Events & tap takeovers – a rotating schedule of beer launches, collaborations, and community events.
- Food pop-ups & pairings – exciting partnerships with Edinburgh’s best independent street food operators, plus a brand-new breakfast and brunch menu.

Speaking about the new venture, Bellfield Brewery Director Alistair Brown said:

Bellfield Brewery – crowned Scottish Brewery of the Year 2023 – has already built a strong reputation for its inclusive, community-driven Abbeyhill Taproom. Now, the team is bringing that same spirit to Leith, ensuring Nobles continues to be a place where locals gather, friendships are made, and craft beer thrives.
